Oil Tank Heaters

To keep the oil at operating temperature when the system is down, Ahlstrom Non Woven (a paper mill) in CT had us build these custom heating jackets.
The Heating Jacket can be easily removed, but in this application remains in place and only turns on should the oil temperature go below the desired set point.
In contrast to immersion heaters which can not provide such even heating and can "coke" the oil, this system is simple, durable and cost effective.

Heated to 185F and very precise in having an accurate temperature, they can not exceed the Target Set Point or the graphite exterior can be damaged.

NRG Energy called about heating an outdoor pump to prevent it from freezing we knew it was right up our alley.
The waste water pump (Gould Pumps) doesn't run except for an hour at a time, exposed to the New York winters keeping it from freezing was a must.
